Born and raised in Northern Spain, Esti decided to become an architect after falling in love with traditional British architecture while studying English at a boarding school in Berkshire when she was still a schoolgirl.

 She studied Architecture at the respected University of Navarra in Pamplona receiving her degree in 1998, with a master in Urban Design. Still an undergraduate, Esti discovered her passion for historic architecture and refurbishment while working in the studio of Mikel Landa, an architect specialised in timber structures. During her time working in the practice she was fortunate to assist in the preparation of the survey for the Master Plan for Comprehensive Restoration of the emblematic Santa Maria Cathedral in Vitoria-Gasteiz, which inspired Ken Follet for the novel 'World Without End'. Esti was also involved in the early stages of the refurbishment of the Salt Valley of Añana, a candidate for UNESCO world heritage site recognition.

 After graduating in Pamplona Esti accepted a position in the offices of the RIBA gold medal winning architects Scott Tallon Walker in Dublin. During her time in Ireland she was involved in a wide range of projects from the corporate offices of Citibank in Custom House Quay, approximately half a million square metres with over 2,000 office workers, to the fit out of various entertainment venues by the prestigious Thomas Reid group. Esti and Neil working together in this legendary office.

 On her return to Spain in 2003 Esti registered as an architect to set up her own practice Esti Buesa Architects in Vitoria-Gasteiz and successfully completed projects and proposals on her own and in collaboration with others.

 As soon as she moved to Kent in 2008 Esti developed good business relations that enabled the foundation of AV Architects, and after slowing down professionally for a few years to look after a young family she is, more than ever, excited about her increasing participation in our projects and the possibilities that this enthusiastic company has.

 She is the driving force behind AV Architects with her commitment for consistent quality and care for our clients and staff.
